Day by day
1
Day 1: Arrive and drive up to Gangtok
about 4½ to 5 hrs Night in Gangtok
We meet you at NJP or Bagdogra and drive up to Gangtok, where the North Sikkim permit is processed.

Day 2: Gangtok to Lachen
about 6 to 7 hrs Night in Lachen
North along the Teesta, past the waterfalls and through Mangan and Chungthang, to Lachen at about 9,000 ft. An early night.

Day 3: Gurudongmar Lake, then on to Lachung
about 3 hrs each way to the lake, then about 3 hrs to Lachung Night in Lachung
We leave Lachen at around 4 am for Gurudongmar, passing Thangu and the Chopta valley, and reach the lake as the sun hits the snow. Keep the visit short. Back to Lachen for breakfast, then across through Chungthang to Lachung.

Day 4: Yumthang valley
about 1 hr each way Night in Lachung
The Yumthang valley, its meadows and hot springs, with Zero Point as an option if the road is open. A second, restful night in Lachung.

Day 5: Lachung to Gangtok
about 6 hrs Night in Gangtok
The drive back down to Gangtok. The evening is free.

Day 6: Gangtok sightseeing

A relaxed day: Rumtek or Enchey Monastery, the viewpoints and the ropeway, or Tsomgo Lake if you have not yet been.

Day 7: Departure

Back down to NJP or Bagdogra.

What sets the price
We do not publish a fixed price, because the same itinerary costs very differently in May and in February, in a standard room and a mountain-view suite. Your quote depends on:
